About
HallsforHire is a social enterprise run by Cambridgeshire ACRE to promote the use of community halls.
Cambridgeshire ACRE is the rural community council for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough and we are dedicated to developing and improving rural community life. We see village and community halls as a vital aspect of rural life providing, as they do, a ‘hub’ for community activity.
Cambridgeshire ACRE is a trusted source of advice and support to those who run community halls and we run a specialist community facilities advice service which provides help for those who manage and run community halls and buildings.
All halls that are signed up to the site will receive a Hall Manager’s Pack, which will provide details about the other services Cambridgeshire ACRE offers and which is full of hints and tips about managing community buildings.
HallsforHire is supported by the Fens Adventurers Local Action Group (LAG) who deliver the Rural Development Programme England in Cambridgeshire and West Norfolk through the Leader approach.
The LAG is managed by Cambridgeshire County Council & Cambridgeshire ACRE and supported by EEDA, Defra, Local Authorities and the EU’s European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development: Europe Investing in Rural Areas.
